Heather Payne is a chainsaw carver and artist and is the owner of Woodland Chainsaw Carvings located in Show Low, AZ. She specializes in unique, whimsical and character style carvings and also enjoys carving realistic wildlife.

Heather has worked with many different art mediums including oil and acrylic paints, airbrushing, charcoal, pencil, pastels and clay used to create paintings, murals, life-like sketches, architectural designs, wild life drawings, and clay figurines. She began painting murals professionally at the age of 12. During her teenage years she started experimenting with clay sculpting and designing architectural details for a themed lodge called
Castlewood Cottages, owned by her parents Dan and Louise Payne.

Heather's love for two and three-dimensional art and design led her to an opportunity to paint and carve wood sculptures at
Kirby's Custom Carvings. For several years she created wood mirrors, fireplace mantels and other wood sculptures using dremils and sanders. She has been working with wood using a variety of tools for about 15 years and began creating wood sculptures using a chainsaw in 2014.

Today she continues creating chainsaw sculptures as a full time profession.
